The January 2024 release of VSCode brought a noteworthy update – support for the “Hey Code” voice command. This new feature allows users to interact with Visual Studio Code using voice commands.
With the new
accessibility.voice.keywordActivationsetting, you can enable VS Code to listen for the “Hey Code” voice command to start a voice session with Copilot Chat. The voice recognition is computed locally on your machine and is never sent to any server.
I decided to try it.
